Services for Youth With Problem Sexual Behavior

JOTLAB (Juveniles Opting for Treatment to Learn Appropriate Behavior) offers clinical treatment for children and adolescents between the ages of 8-18 who exhibit problem sexual behaviors. In addition to individual and family therapies, the team conducts an extensive group treatment program. Therapy sessions range from 2 to 5 sessions per week, with the day treatment youth attending for 2 ½ hours per day. JOTLAB’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides opportunities for youth with cognitive disabilities to eliminate problem sexual behaviors, to improve communication skills, to learn impulse control strategies, and to increase vocational and academic abilities. The staff employ a range of group therapeutic interventions including yoga, drama therapy, and parent support groups.
