Sexual Abuse Treatment Program
The Sexual Abuse Treatment Team provides psychotherapeutic and case management services to victims of sexual abuse as well as to their non-offending parents, siblings, and extended families. In addition to individual and family therapies, the Team conducts a group treatment program. The Sexual Abuse Treatment Team collaborates with the Clinic’s JOTLAB staff, who treat sexually aggressive youth, thus having the capacity to provide services to families confronting problems related to both perpetration and victimization.
Family Violence Treatment Services
The Family Violence Treatment Program treats and supports the needs of children and families affected by domestic violence, child physical abuse, dating violence, high conflict divorce, and bullying in schools. The program offers diagnostic, prevention, treatment, and advocacy services in the form of individual and family therapy, parent education, group therapy, psychiatric consultations, and community education.
Project CATCH
Project CATCH (Collaboration, Advocacy, and Treatment for Children, which is funded through the CT Office of Victim Services, provides outreach, advocacy, case management and support services to help children and families recovering from the traumas of sexual abuse and domestic violence. The program also offers parent education and support groups which focus on issues related to trauma experienced by both the child and the parent.
