CB Walks in "No Excuses" March for Education

On Thursday, September 27, 2019 members of the CB community-based team marched along side hundreds of others in the "No Excuses March for Education". The march, hosted by New Haven Adult and Continuing Education, showcased the importance of education at any age. Damaris Cox, CB care coordinator, pictured right, was a graduate of New Haven Adult and Continuing Education back in 2009. While addressing the crowd on Thursday, she says "I did it because my children needed me to get an education, to do better for them and myself. My daughter was 21 years old when I received my education, so it's never too late." The march and resource rally were an effort to reduce the stress and encourage others

CB Vice President Graduates from University of New Haven's Certificate Program

Congratulations to Lauren Weibrecht, vice president of outpatient mental health services here at Clifford Beers, on graduating from the 2019 University of New Haven’s graduate certificate program in Nonprofit Leadership, Innovation, and Organizational Sustainability. The certificate program enables candidates to develop competencies in project management, marketing, and financial planning. Weibrecht presented a program plan to launch adult services here at Clifford Beers. It was a smooth success!
